Description
You're welcome to join us even if you're not interested in pitching yourself. The event will offer some excellent networking opportunities and who knows, you may also hear about something that will be of benefit to your own business.
Promoting and facilitating local procurement is key strategic priority of the Chamber. We know that many local large organisations, such as Babcock, local authorities and the NHS are working actively to increase their spend locally. However, a combination of businesses being put off by the procurement process and major procurers being unaware of some of the products and services that local businesses can provide is preventing building resilient local supply chains.
The format is short, sharp and interactive.
A panel of five major procurers will be in the front row of an audience that hears a series of short sharp pitches from several businesses in quick succession, followed by a brief Q&A.
Our panel of very senior procurement leaders will be announced soon.
Following the Q&A the procurers can choose which businesses, if any, they wish to further conversations with. That may be as simple as being sent details of how to register for tender information and enter the procurement process, or an invitation to a further exploratory meeting.
The Chamber can broker these communications and introduce successful pitchers to additional support in preparing their tenders.
At the conclusion of the presentations there will be the opportunity to continue networking or follow up on conversations with our procurers.
Our Procuring panel includes:-
Babcock International
University Hospitals Trust Plymouth
The University of Plymouth
Classic Builders
Plymouth City Council
Plymouth Community Homes
..... and an audience of other businesses.
