City Conversations provides business leaders with strategic briefings on a wide variety of topics that are of interest to those in senior management roles. None of the presentations are sales-based and the event is not suitable for solely business development focused individuals.
We will be joined by:
Richard Bara, Urban Designer/Landscape Architect, Plymouth City Council
Richard will be joining us to give us an insight into Plymouths new Millbay Boulevard. The 6 million unique infrastructure project links the West End of the city centre to the waterfront at Millbay, will be delivering multiple environmental benefits for Plymouth as part of our response to the current climate emergency. Richard will shine light on the important infrastructure it provides for the city and journey they have undertaken to deliver it.
Drew Mason, Head of Sales, BLOCK Plymouth
Drew will be detailing the new live/work better lifestyle brand and how BLOCK Plymouth is a solution to hybrid working for the south west's business community launching in the Royal William Yard in late 2021.
Professor Deborah Greaves, Head of the School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics, Plymouth University
Deborah will be discussing the new landmark building that will be situated on the western edge of the Universities campus, providing a new home for the School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics and additional space for the School of Art, Design and Architecture. This is a landmark project that will have a number of significant benefits for the University and wider community
Richard May, Head of Oceansgate and Marine Investment, Plymouth City Council
Richard will be discussing Plymouth’s recently confirmed Freezone status and how this will help us bounce back from the COVID pandemic and grow the local economy. It is expected it to generate thousands of new jobs and over £100 million pounds of new investment over the next 10 years and is set to unlock millions of pounds of funding for Plymouth and across the wider South Devon area.
Urban Splash, will be shining light on the £400 million redevelopment project of the Civic Centre and Guildhall in Plymouth which is set to create hundreds of new jobs and an international conference centre in the heart of the city.
